My story

I'm cycling throughout August for Prostate Cancer UK. One in eight men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime, and it's the UKs third biggest cancer killer. But it doesn't have to be this way. I'm raising money to help fund lifesaving research for men and their families affected by the disease. My father-in-law, who was a charming man of great intellect (a highly regarded scientist), unfortunately died from Prostate cancer. Shortly before I retired earlier this year I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. However I'm luckier than most as it hasn't spread and is slow growing. My prognosis is positive and I should be fine. It has however focused my mind on making the most of every day. If you are male and over 50 please get yourself a PSA test. It may just save your life.
