Cycle the Month this May

Cycle the Month is a virtual challenge for cyclists everywhere: whether you’re a keen rider or a cycling newbie. Sign up and choose to cycle either 100, 200 or 300 miles in May. Complete your distance your way: over a day, a weekend, a week or a month.

You can take on this challenge alone or in a team. Share your progress using Strava or log your miles manually on your fundraising page to keep track.

Every mile you tick off and every pound you raise will help fund lifesaving research to help beat prostate cancer - a disease that affects 1 in 8 men.

Men, we are with you.

Meet Lee.

Lee took on Cycle the Month last year after his dad was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2020.

Just two months later, Lee was diagnosed with the disease himself. He was successfully treated and will be returning to the saddle this May.

“I’ll be forever thankful to my dad for saving my life as if it wasn’t for his diagnosis I wouldn’t have gone to the doctor as I had no symptoms,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to Cycle the Month in May to help raise awareness of this disease. It’s hard to believe everything that has happened since I completed it last year, but it’s shown me the importance of raising awareness for other men.”

Most men with early prostate cancer don’t have symptoms, so knowing your risk and doing something about it can be a life saver. But without a screening programme, too many men will still be diagnosed too late. By taking on Cycle the Month, you’ll help Prostate Cancer UK transform prostate cancer diagnosis so the men we love can live long and live well.
